1. Introduction

This policy governs interactions between RideHosts (vehicle owners) and DriveGuests (customers) using the Karayana platform. As an aggregator, Karayana Services Pvt. Ltd. provides a transparent system for lead generation, enquiry management, and listing of verified vehicles.

2. Role of Karayana

Karayana operates solely as a lead generator and aggregator, connecting verified RideHosts and DriveGuests. The platform does not own, lease, or control any vehicle directly. All transactions, documentation, and vehicle handovers are handled by the RideHost in compliance with applicable transport laws.

3. Prohibition of Direct Dealing

Any form of direct communication, negotiation, or rate disclosure between RideHost and DriveGuest outside the Karayana platform is strictly prohibited. All bookings, payments, and discussions must be processed through Karayana to ensure fairness, transparency, and customer safety.

4. Penalty Clause

Breach of this policy will attract a penalty up to ₹25,000 and may lead to permanent suspension of the RideHost or DriveGuest account. Karayana reserves the right to take legal action in case of repeated or fraudulent violations.

5. Responsibilities of RideHost

The RideHost must verify all DriveGuest documents (Driving Licence, Aadhaar, etc.), complete the handover and return process through official Google Forms, and ensure that the vehicle is insured, roadworthy, and equipped with an active FASTag. RideHosts must also upload accurate vehicle information and keep it updated on the Karayana portal.

6. Responsibilities of DriveGuest

The DriveGuest must provide valid and original documents, follow all booking and KYC procedures, and adhere to the terms of vehicle use. Any damage, traffic violation, or misuse during the rental period shall be the sole responsibility of the DriveGuest.

7. Legal Binding

By using the Karayana platform, both RideHost and DriveGuest agree to comply with this policy and the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy of Karayana Services Pvt. Ltd.
